The Game is played in the details!

Its Friday night and I hang out at home, trying to get rid of my cold. I hope its not the swine flu because I hate being stuck at home just as bad as you probably do.
Lets talk about Details today. I think this is such an important issue nowadays. Nowadays its easy to get some advice on picking up women, on how to get a girlfriend and so on. What you get in 90 percent of the cases is some very general, widely available knowledge that is of absolutely no value to most of us.
Imagine you would like to know how to fly a plane. Now, thats easy, I could say, you just grab the stick and fly the baby. And how to land a plane? Well, you just fly in straight, put out the landing gear and flaps and slowly try to target the center of the runway.
Well, while this explains how a plane is flown BASICALLY, it will in no way enable you to go out and do it. You wouldnt even be able to start the engine because you have no idea how this engine works.
Actually, why do you think some of the best pickup artists in the world have come to be as good as they are? For sure not by hearing things like: Just be yourself. Or, just walk up and say anything. Or by learning pickup lines. You might have noticed, thats not the way things work.
In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell describes how famous people got as good as they were. After analyzing people from The Beatles to Bill Gates, they found that these people have invested close to 10,000 hours to get good at things.
They got themselves into the game by relentlessly learning all the small details and tricks of the trade. They have come from KNOWING about how to do things into LIVING these abilities.
If we transfer this to pickup, it works the same way. All the lines and theories are just the general overview. Just as the aerodynamic law that describes how an airplane flies. You have to go learn all the SPECIFIC things and how to do them right, one at a time, investing time and effort.
Learn how SMALL changes in your body language make big difference. Learn about the power of your inner state. Learn eye contact patterns. Learn to control the small variations in your voice. Learn how a story, built into a conversation in just the right way and the right punctuation - when to say and do what - have a MASSIVE effect on the outcome.
In short: THE GAME IS IN THE DETAIL.
